I'm sitting in gloom here, locked myself in,
Darkened me, ponder just what I have been:
Always an alien, who stumbles over time.
Dreamed myself away, no digression off the line.
Now and then and back again, I'd hovered above the clouds,
Up and down and all around, highest grief I had found.
(Oh, Lord. Could it ever, ever, ever be worse?!!
Be on my side. I lay it on nothing, feeling no remorse)
There she came in sullenness, her shadow on my wall.
Love and pain, instants insane, she's been through it all.
If I had a head of mine, could have taken this in past:
"One does not move too fast, if he wants his love to last"
But I'm revving too much(You See), it rushes me off my feet.
I'm caught up in her weary eyes, have trodden my own creed.
I ought to come right out, can find no other ways:
"Please, girl. Take my hand. Guide me through this maze".
